The county council will meet in a work session at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers at 475 20th St. In a last-minute addition to the agenda, councilors will discuss placing a fence around the Municipal Building, which recent structural analysis has found to be “extremely fragile.” An ordinance will be introduced regarding an increase of fees for impounded animals, and the councilors will be asked to provide direction to county staff on RV storage. There will be an update on Diamond Drive Phase 2, from Public Works Director Kyle Zimmerman. Chief Financial Officer Steven Lynne and County Administrator Max Baker will present preliminary budget guidance for council to consider for fiscal year 2009, as part of the regular budget planning and development cycle. The meeting will be televised on PAC-8.
