Monday morning car accident snarls traffic on Trinity Drive

Shortly after 7 a.m., officers from the Los Alamos Police Department didn’t have far to go as they responded to an accident at Trinity Drive and Oppenheimer, near the Justice Center.

According to LAPD Cpl. Jaime Gonzalez, a Nissan Sentra, driven by Elena Hamburg, 28, was behind another car that was slowing down to turn into an apartment complex. Hamburg decided to pull around and that’s when the front of her car struck the front of a Honda Accord driven by Lorraine Dominguez.

There were no injuries and Gonzalez said Hamburg was cited for failure to yield.
