Los Alamos resident Bobbi Mock was promoted late last month to the positions of post press team leader and circulation assistant at the Los Alamos Monitor.
Mock, who previously worked as an inserter and paper carrier, is now responsible for ensuring that customers get their newspapers delivered on time, where they request it be placed and that when they open the paper, everything that’s supposed to be there, is.
She is also in charge of recruiting and training newspaper carriers. If interested, call her at 662-4185.
“Bobbi’s experience working in our post press facility made her a good fit for the position,” said Publisher Ben Carlson. “She earned the promotion by excelling at what she was hired to do and by her willingness to take on more responsibilities.
“This is a new position, in a sense, that combines Bobbi’s unique skills of working in the post press environment and at our circulation desk. The goal is to ensure our valued subscribers receive the kind of customer service they expect and we’re determined to deliver.”
Mock began working for the Los Alamos Monitor as a carrier about a year ago. From there, she moved on to sorter and then to her present position.
As circulation assistant and post press team leader, she will not only be responsible for improving customer service, but for making improvements and changes to the delivery service as well.
“Ideas are being discussed, and Ben is very open to some of the things we want to do,” Mock said.
Mock has lived in Los Alamos for 10 years, is married and has two adult children.
One of the things she likes about Los Alamos is its small town atmosphere.
“I like the small town feel and being a part of a community,” she said. “You couldn’t pay me to live in a big city.”
Her hobbies include camping, fishing and hiking.
