SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez says her campaign has raised more than $1 million during the past month.
Candidates for governor and other state offices face a deadline Tuesday for reporting their fundraising since early September as campaigns prepared for the start of early voting.
Martinez, the district attorney in Las Cruces, and Democrat Diane Denish are running for governor.
Martinez released a campaign finance summary before filing her report. She says her campaign raised $1.4 million and had a cash balance of $1.3 million as of Oct. 4.
Denish had a campaign balance of more than $1 million in early September, but her campaign hasn't released updated fundraising figures.
