Duane Marr was the top predictor at this week’s Pace Race.
The Pace Race, a weekly event hosted by the Atomic City Roadrunners, was held Tuesday in the Quemazon subdivision. The Quemazon Climb/Decadent Table Dessert Run featured a big climb up Quemazon Road toward the Perimeter Trail and attracted 16 runners and walkers.
Marr, who competed on the 1-mile course Tuesday, was 24 seconds off his predicted finish time. He topped Tom Sanford, who was 30 seconds off. No other competitor Tuesday finished with a prediction error of under two minutes.
On the 1-mile course, Anya Gonzales was the top finisher, completing her run in 13:38. On the 3-mile course, Jamie Jablin was the top finisher with his time of 21:41, while Sammy Keie finished in 33:04.
The next Pace Race will be Tuesday starting at the Los Alamos Middle School parking lot. For more information, call Ted Williams at 672-1639.
