LARK – Marjorie Elizabeth Lark, age 83, on May 29, 2008, after a brief but valiant fight against breast cancer, passed away peacefully with her daughter, Karen Shull, by her side.
Marge was born in Riley, Kan., Aug. 16, 1924, to Margaret and George Zeisset. She graduated from Leonardsville, Kan., high school. Marge worked as a telephone operator in Topeka, Kansas and as an operator/service assistant in Aurora, Ill. She came to Los Alamos in December 1948 and worked as a telephone operator for the AEC. Marge later worked 25 years for Los Alamos National Laboratory in a variety of positions and retired in 1990. Marge also worked part-time at the Los Alamos Medical Center in admitting for 15 years.
Marge was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling to the various tournaments: 24 Women’s National Bowling Tournaments and many New Mexico State Bowling Tournaments through the years. She was a member of the Tuesday Housewives Bowling League for many years and a continuous member for the past 18 years.
