Mang is Player of Year for N.M.

Los Alamos infielder and pitcher Jared Mang was named the Player of the Year by the Gatorade company today, it was announced.
Mang, the Hilltoppers’ star player, became the first player from Los Alamos to receive the award, which has been given out annually for 29 seasons. He is now eligible for the National Player of the Year Award.
This season, Mang hit .605 with 2 home runs and knocked in 44 runs. He had a whopping slugging percentage of .926.
On the mound, he went 8-2 with a 1.01 ERA and struck out 42 batters.
