Los Alamos showcases business community for legislative reception

SANTA FE — Los Alamos presented a strong presence at the annual Legislative Reception in the El Dorado Hotel & Spa Monday evening. From their booth, Executive Director Kevin Holsapple of the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce/Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation and his staff touted the attributes of Los Alamos and its businesses to hundreds of attendees.“We tend to approach this event on two levels,” Holsapple said. “One is in more of a general sense where we talk to business people from a visitation and tourism standpoint, promoting the community and describing why they should come here. The other is in establishing relationships with legislators. We discuss things like our workforce as well as Los Alamos-centric issues in terms of getting funding for local projects.”Longtime Los Alamos Rep.
