For the third year in a row, Taos Lifestyle Productions and Taos native, singer-songwriter Max Gomez will bring a night of Songs and Stories on Dec. 27.
Americana singer-songwriter John Fullbright will also perform.
Gomez’s 2013 breakthrough song, “Rule the World” was dubbed as one of the “best new songs of 2013” by Esquire magazine.
In October 2014, Gomez was included alongside a lineup of well-known performers including Tom Jones, Soundgarden, Norah Jones and Puss N Boots, Pearl Jam and many more at Neil and Pegi Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concert in Mountain View, Calif.
Gomez began performing in Taos bars at age 15, where he played originals and covered songs by his musical inspirations, Robert Johnson, “Big” Bill Broonzy and John Prine. Gomez continues to receive national accolades for his skill at building stories into his grassroots, Americana musical style. Visit maxgomezmusic.com for more.
Oklahoma native John Fullbright’s new album, “Songs,” comes on the heels of his debut album, “From the Ground” (2012) which received critical acclaim. Hailed by National Public Radio (NPR) as one of “10 artists you should have known in 2012,” Fullbright’s vivid, poetically astute writing style is reflected in his songs including, “Happy,” where he mocks the idea that artists have to stew in grief in order to draw creative inspiration.
Among other television appearances, Fullbright performed on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in August 2014, and has received critical acclaim from several national publications including Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal.  Visit johnfullbrightmusic.com/ for more.
“Songs and Stories III” will be 8 p.m. Dec. 27 at the KTAOS Solar Center.
Tickets are $22 in advance; $25 the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased in advance at ktao.com or at taoslifestyleproductions.com. In the past two years, “Songs and Stories” events have sold out.
