Here are the results for Los Alamos Football Club teams from Week 8 of Duke City Soccer League play:

On the girls side, U11 Hotshots earned a 2-1 win over the NM Rush Swoosh. The defense of Kaitlin McGrane, Anna Rose Matuszak, Lauren Stubben and Shelly Doyle was solid.
The midfield was controlled by Amy Littleton, Anna Lemke, Paulina Burnside, and Marie Lee. Alyssa Parker, Kaya Krantz, and Leah Wolfsburg used creative combination plays to create scoring opportunities.
Wolfsburg scored the first goal off an assist from Littleton, while Parker scored the second goal on a left-footed shot to the far post.
In the boys games, the U17 Cyclones won 1-0 against Durango United on a  second half corner kick by Kevin Gao when Nick Thoma faked a “dummy” at front  post and Rohun Iyer rushed in to score.
Strong defensive play by Ben Stewart, Cameron Wilson, Zayne Waltersheid, Brandon Hodges and Michael Brown and athletic goalkeeping by Lorenzo Venneri kept the score intact.
In a make-up game, the Cyclones soundly beat the Albuquerque Elite 7-0.
The defensive quartet of Wilson, Stewart, Brown and Walterscheid gave goalkeeper Travis Richins breathing room.
The Cyclones midfield of Rohun Iyer and Thoma had a strong game with plenty of possession and seam-splitting passes.
Ethan Stam, Ryan Maestas, Michael Maestas, Collin Stone and Dallin Parker rotated in the offensive positions and shared in the scoring.
The game was an important win for the Cyclones before the New Mexico State Cup opener against the No. 2 team in the state.
The U16 Lasers 96 lost 5-3 in a hard-fought match to undefeated South Valley Aero.
Jairo Marquez evened the score 1-1 at halftime.
After going down 4-1 in the seconnd half, the Lasers 96 scored two goals with Jimmy Aslam putting in a deflection off the goalie from a Luke Kachelmeier blast and Nick Torres putting in a rebound from a Mauricio Salazar shot, but they couldn’t find the equalizer.
The Lasers 96 finished off the season with a 1-0 win over Santa Fe United.  The Lasers 96 team controlled possession but couldn’t find the back of the net until Jonmichael Weaver sent a through ball to Jairo Marquez who one-touched the ball into the goal.
The U14 Lasers 98 wrapped up their season with a 6-4 win against Durango United.
The U12 Celtic earned a tight 4-3 victory over Santa Fe Northern. Sam Menefee had the game winner, just minutes after the Santa Fe tied the game.
Earlier, Arthur Steinkamp scored 2 goals and Dakota Duran scored another. Jack Vandenkeboom and Jakob Castille both played well in goal and Gabe Holesinger was solid in midfield.
