Robert Groff, 81, of Los Alamos, pleaded not guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court to shoplifting gloves at Metzger’s ‘Do it Best’ Hardware in Los Alamos. Judge Alan Kirk deferred Groff’s sentence for 30 days pending he not acquire any additional citations. He was ordered to pay a $41 court fee.
Ronald Parker, 51, of Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to not having valid registration after being stopped for speeding. Kirk deferred Parker’s sentence for 30 days and ordered him to pay a $46 court fee.
Charles Sterba, 53, of Los Alamos, pleaded not guilty in Municipal Court for failure to use a turn signal. Kirk found Sterba guilty and ordered him to pay $71 in court fees and fines.

Angelo Tinoco, of Fairview, was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court to battery against a household member. He was also initially charged with aggravated stalking, assault, two counts of receiving stolen property, three counts of drug paraphernalia possession, concealing identity and violation of a restraining order prohibiting domestic violence. To all counts he had no plea. Judge Pat Casados ordered Tinoco to two years of probation, complete a 52-week domestic violence class and pay $73 in court fees.
