Local Courts: On The Docket 05-02-12

Phillip Roibal, 52, of Los Alamos, pleaded no contest in Los Alamos Municipal Court on contempt of court charges for a probation violation and three charges of failure to appear in court. Judge Alan Kirk found Roibal guilty on all the charges and he was sentenced to five days in jail in lieu of fines. He still has to pay the remainder of $629.

Marvin Baca, 57, of Chimayó, pleaded no contest in municipal court to contempt of court for a probation violation and for failure to appear in court or pay court fees. Kirk dismissed the case.

Joseph Gutierrez, 46, of Española, pleaded guilty in municipal court to three charges of failure to appear in court or pay court fees and one charge of improper stopping, starting or turning. Kirk ordered Gutierrez to 29 days and five hours of jail time in lieu of $1,460 in fines.

Ernesto Sena, 31, of Española, pleaded guilty in municipal court to failing to stop at a stop sign before making a right-hand turn. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine and $46 in court fees.
