Leave that stove alone! Decadent Table will do the cooking for you

-A A +A
By Kirsten Laskey

Lisa Kratzer worked a part-time job when her children were little. She would often return home exhausted and think it would be great to have someone assist with making dinner.

A year ago, she put this thought into action. She established her business, the Decadent Table, to help out working families and residents who are just too busy to whip up a dinner.

People can order meals online at Decadenttable.com or order take out from the business, located at 4710 Quemazon.

Meals, along with chinaware, are delivered to people’s home and then picked up sometime in the evening. The business is open from 4:30-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and currently delivers only in Los Alamos.

Kratzer does not run this business alone. Members of her family have become part of her staff. For instance, her son Daniel developed the website and handles the more business end while she focuses on the cooking.

Additionally, Kratzer’s mother, Maryrose Wampler, has traveled from Indiana to offer some help in the kitchen.

“It’s been really special,” Kratzer said. “My mother has been here the last six-eight weeks, helping us with the bread, adjusting to larger recipes.”

Even the recipes originated from Kratzer’s family. Some have been passed down to three different generations.
