A Los Alamos Public Schools SUV was involved in a car accident in Española following a Los Alamos High School girls basketball game.
According to one driver returning to Los Alamos Thursday night, the SUV was involved in a rear-end accident at the corner of Fairview Lane and Paseo de Oñate in Española. The vehicle is used as transportation for Los Alamos Hilltopper basketball players.
LAHS athletic director Vicki Nelms said late Thursday night that no Los Alamos student-athletes were in the SUV at the time of the accident and that there were no initial reports of injuries.
Los Alamos’ girls basketball team was playing Española Valley in a District 2-4A tournament game Thursday night at Española Valley High School.
