The Los Alamos Police Department announced that dispatcher Ulises Gabriel Nieto graduated from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, Telecommunication Course on April 18. Nieto has been employed with the Los Alamos Police Department for one year. Nieto will be assigned to a shift and begin working in the Communications Center assisting with the needs of the community. Chief Dino Sgambellone said, “The role of dispatcher is critical to the successful missions of both police and fire. It is a difficult and challenging position.
