In all, close to 1,300 small businesses do business with the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
On Thursday, LANL held a recognition ceremony at Fuller Lodge for seven businesses that were most successful in the past fiscal year.
“We are here today to recognize the seven suppliers we believe have done an outstanding job at the lab,” LANL Small Business Program Manager Dennis Roybal said.
Small businesses honored included Edgewater Technical Associates LLC, Homan’s Inc., Integrated Electric and Utility LLC, TEVET, LLC, Tsay Construction & Services, LLC, Vector Resources, Inc., and Vigil Enterprises, Inc.
John Woosley, the district director of the New Mexico Small Business Association Office, told the honorees, “You exemplify to the labs when it comes to fulfilling the mission.”
Doug McCrary, the LANL Acquisition Services Management Division Leader, said he attends a lot of functions, “but this one is important. It’s the recognition of our suppliers and we do a lot of business with a lot of small businesses. We’re proud of what these businesses have accomplished.”
