LANB recognized for scoreboard contribution

Principal Grace Brown, Athletic Director Vicki Nelms and others expressed their appreciation to Los Alamos National Bank for making a new scoreboard possible for Los Alamos High School.

“We’re so fortunate that we have an organization like Los Alamos National Bank that supports the students and actually gives back to the community and actually supports the future of the community by doing that,” Brown said. “The scoreboard I think has been such a moral booster for a lot of the students and coaches and we just so appreciate what LANB has done for us and what they continue to do for us – they’ve really been truly generous.”

The scoreboard cost $16,314 without the installation and replaces one that was some 20 years old. LANB paid nearly $13,000 toward the cost of the new scoreboard, said LANB Marketing Coordinator Natalie Morgan, adding that the scoreboard was installed during the last week of August.
