It didn’t take long for Los Alamos High School to reschedule the two basketball games that were postponed Friday.
LAHS announced Friday afternoon that the two games it had scheduled against Bernalillo this weekend that were nixed due to the state of emergency declared Thursday by Gov. Susana Martinez’s office have been rescheduled for Monday.
Los Alamos’ girls basketball team was scheduled to host Bernalillo Friday night while Los Alamos’ boys were to travel to Bernalillo Saturday. The venues of both meetings will stay the same.
The Hilltopper girls’ C team will play at 4 p.m., the junior varsity game at approximately 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at around 7 p.m. The boys games will be on the same time schedule in Bernalillo.
Another scheduled event scheduled for this week, the Bryan Sanchez Memorial wrestling tournament, won’t be made up, said Los Alamos head wrestling coach Bob Geyer.
“It’s too hard to get that rescheduled,” Geyer said. “We’re going to bag it this year. We had 13 teams coming. You might be able to get one or two midweek…we’ll just move on and get ready for district Saturday.”
