Guy Forsyth, a Texas entertainer known for his live shows will be at Ashley Pond Friday as part of the Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series.
“He’s outrageously funny, as well as raucous, rowdy, gritty and full of hope,” LACSCS concert promoter Russ Gordon said. “Guy plays folk, country, rock, blues, Americana and Tin Pan Alley.”
Forsyth was one of the founders of the Asylum Street Spankers. However, he has never played with that group in Los Alamos.
He did play a solo Father’s Day show here about seven years ago. According to his website, he’s played a number of large festivals around the world, including the Austin City Music Festival, High Sierra Music Fest near Yosemite, Calif. and the Los Alamos Concert Series.
Forsyth has also played BBQ and Blues in New York, the Tonder Fest in Denmark and the Rhythm and Blues Fest in Belgium. He’s shared the stage with BB King, Ray Charles, Lucinda Williams and many more.
On June 29 the series will be at the Pajarito Ski Area with the San Francisco rock band, Chuck Prophet and The Mission Express. For more information, visit chuckprophet.com.
