LACDC has assisted hundreds of businesses, non-profits, and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Los Alamos area since instituting business assistance services in the mid-1980’s. The LACDC staff possesses deep experience in providing these services and in connecting clients to valuable resources.

LACDC (known as Los Alamos Economic Development Corporation until 1999) established the original Business Assistance Center in Los Alamos in 1983.

In 1989, the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network was formed and LACDC and the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) have partnered to deliver services as the UNM-LA Small Business Development Center.

Under this partnership, LACDC provided business counseling and workshops funded in part by a contract with UNM-LA.

The contractual relationship with UNM-LA ended on Dec. 31.

So going forward, LACDC’s services will be provided under the identity Los Alamos Business Assistance Services.
