LA girls, boys hosting 2-4A games Tuesday

Both the Los Alamos Hilltopper boys and girls basketball teams will host the quarterfinal round of the District 2-4A tournament Tuesday night.

Los Alamos' girls will take on Bernalillo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The boys will play Espanola Valley starting at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of Tuesday's girls game will advance to the tournament semifinals against Santa Fe, while the boys' winner will play at Bernalillo in that semifinal. Both those semifinal games will be Tuesday.

Espanola Valley's girls and Capital's boys are the top seed in the 2-4A tournaments. The winners of the tournaments will get automatic bids into the Class 4A playoffs, which start later this month.
