LA football blasts Capital in finale

The Los Alamos Hilltopper football team closed out the Capital Jaguars early to win their 2012 regular season finale Friday night.
Hilltopper linebacker Sam Ortiz stripped Jaguar running back Manuel Segura and ran 33 yards for a score early in the second half to give Los Alamos a mercy-rule 52-0 win at Sullivan Field.
Los Alamos scored 40 points in the first half and held Capital to just three yards on its first two possessions to pick up the victory.
