The Los Alamos Hilltopper hockey team will play for the New Mexico Interscholastic Ice Hockey League pure team playoffs starting tonight.
The Hilltoppers will face the Cleveland Storm in the first round of the NMIIHL playoffs at 5:30 p.m. The tournament will be played in Taos.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast by KRSN AM 1490. Rick Picard and David Sutton will be on the call live from the Taos Youth and Family Center rink.
Los Alamos wrapped up its regular season last weekend topping Cleveland’s Storm 4-0 but falling to the St. Pius X Sartans 6-1. For the season, Los Alamos finished in third place with a record of 13-7-1 and finished with 27 points.
Should Los Alamos beat Cleveland tonight, it would play the winner between Taos and Rio Rancho at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
The pure team championship game is set for March 9 in Santa Fe.
