JV cross country teams earn wins

The Los Alamos Hilltopper junior varsity cross country teams picked up impressive wins at Saturday’s Academy for Technology and the Classics’ Everybody Invitational.
Both the JV teams had near-perfect scores at the meet. The JV boys finished with 17 points and the JV girls with 16 — 15 points is a perfect score in cross country.
The teams both finished with four individuals in the top five. The girls were paced by Talia Dreicer, who finished the race in a time of 21:47 and the boys were led by Cameron Staples, who clocked a 19:12.
Eliana Riciputi and Emily Pittman finished right behind Dreicer in the girls race, while John Rees was the runner-up in the boys race and Hayden Walker finished third.
