James (Jay) Tracy, son of Carolyn and Jim Tracy went peacefully in his sleep to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Wednesday, July 30th. He was at his home in Albuquerque with his roommate and caregiver, Juan Carlos. He had been very ill for several years, eagerly waiting to be at home in Heaven.

Jay grew up in Los Alamos and was a part of Calvary Chapel. Through the years, Jay worked in food service at many of the restaurants in Los Alamos. Many have enjoyed his musical abilities at various events and churches in our town.

Jay will be missed by his parents Jim and Carolyn Tracy; his brother, sister-in-law and niece, Keith, Stephanie and Kya Tracy of Fort Collins, Colorado; his sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Josh Hyde of Seattle, Washington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jay loved each of his family and friends very much.

A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel (582 North Mesa Road, Los Alamos, NM, 87544, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th. You are invited to a reception following the service.

Jay loved ministering in music in the Philippines on a mission trip with his dad in 2004. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, a donation to Philippines Missions, Inc. (26 Short Drive, Los Alamos, NM 87544) would be appreciated. These monies will be used to help with the needs of the very poor mountain pastors’ families.

A second Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 4 pm at God’s Way Community Church, 1701 Walter Street SE in Albuquerque for all of Jay’s friends in the Albuquerque area.
