Trayvon Robinson came up with two big hits for the Albuquerque Isotopes Wednesday, including a double in the 10th inning that proved to be the game-winner.
Robinson, who went 3-for-4 on the night, homered in the eighth inning to tie the score and force extra innings, then doubled in Clint Robinson to give the Isotopes a 4-3 win in Sacramento.
Albuquerque had dropped two straight before Wednesday, including the series opener at Sacramento one night earlier.
Isotopes pitcher Matt Magill (4-2) actually came on in relief in the eighth inning to earn the victory.
Jeff Bennett started the game for Albuquerque. He gave up three runs in the bottom of the first but settled down after that and held the River Cats in check the rest of the way.
With the win, Albuquerque (24-28) stopped a 7-game winning streak by the River Cats (32-21).
Tonight, Zach Lee (4-5) is scheduled to pitch game three of the four-game series for Albuquerque.
Following the games tonight and Friday night, the Isotopes will travel back to Albuquerque for a four-game series starting Saturday. The Isotopes will host the Salt Lake Bees for those four games before hitting the road once again.
