The Albuquerque Isotopes will wrap up their road trip tonight in Sacramento ahead of its quick, four-game set at home this weekend.
The Isotopes will take on the Tacoma Rainiers starting Saturday. The home series is scheduled to continue through Monday in Albuquerque.
Albuquerque’s current road swing hasn’t gone as well as the team had hoped. Albuquerque was held to just two runs Wednesday night, then was shut out Thursday by Sacramento.
With that 5-0 loss, the Isotopes slipped to 9-1/2 games back of the Las Vegas 51s in the Pacific Coast League’s Pacific Southern standings, the same deficit they faced in the division at the All-Star break.
Prior to Wednesdsay’s and Thursday’s losses, the Isotopes had gone 11-4 in their previous 15 games.
Only about a month remains in the regular season for PCL teams.
