AAUW Los Alamos Supports the LAPS bond issue. The majority of the Los Alamos School facilities are over 45 years old. They are outdated and no longer provide the learning environment necessary to meet AAUW education priorities. Updated, state-of-the-art learning facilities show that the community cares about education.
Potential laboratory employees are attracted to Los Alamos because of the reputation of its schools. Quality buildings with functional heating, cooling, and adequate electrical services are integral to learning. Our children deserve a quality education in a quality environment.
AAUW (American Association of University Women) has believed in a strong, free public education system as the foundation of a democratic society since 1881.
Vote YES showing your support for the LAPS bond issue and be sure to mail in your ballot.
