The Los Alamos Concert Association’s 2010-2011 season continues on March 18, when back by popular demand, Imani Winds returns to Los Alamos. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Duane Smith Auditorium on the Los Alamos High School campus.
The performance will open with “Wapango,” by Paquito D’Rivera, followed by “Cane,” by Jason Moran. “Quintet for Winds, Op 43,” by Carl Nielsen will complete the first half of the program. Following intermission, the group will continue with “Eight Etudes” and a “Fantasy for Woodwind Quartet,” by Elliot Carter and “Wanderings,” by Derek Bermel. The concert will close with “Libertango,” by Astor Piazzola.
