While members of Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church and Bethlehem Lutheran Evangelical Church prepare to host the annual Vacation Bible School and Day Camp, which will be held July 7-11, the House of Hope Women are making preparations for the annual Vacation Bible School evening family dinner.
The House of Hope is a group of women from many of the local Los Alamos and White Rock churches who have committed their time and talents to building projects in Juarez, Mexico, and the proceeds from this dinner will support the purchase of the building materials for the October 2008 project.
Vacation Bible School will be focusing on God's power in everyday lives, and will incorporate a “laboratory” theme in games and activities as well as fun science projects. Lynn Finnegan, who is spearheading the event, and the House of Hope women planned a “Power Pasta Dinner,” to pick up on the VBS theme. The dinner will be from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity on the Hill’s downstairs parish hall. Due to construction, parking will be available in the upper parking lot, or at Los Alamos High School. Enter upstairs through the church, or downstairs through the far door. Signs will be posted guiding the way.
