The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is offering the chance to sleep late, forget about washing dishes and still get breakfast for your entire family.
The Kiwanis Club will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 - 11 a.m. Saturday at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.
The proceeds will be used to support Kiwanis service projects — projects which include, among other things, thousands of dollars in scholarships each year for Los Alamos High School students headed to college, a breakfast for graduates on Senior Appreciation Night, the Los Alamos County Fourth of July fireworks, Kiwanis prizes for outstanding Science Fair entries, Breakfast with Santa and a Christmas party for foster children.
The breakfast will include scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, pancakes, orange juice, coffee and milk. Those holding tickets may go back for refills until the food runs out.
Los Alamos County’s oldest service club has been offering these breakfasts periodically since the 1950s.
