Kelly Vosburgh, a junior at Los Alamos High School, took the state All-Around gymnastics title March 29.Vosburgh, who was bothered by an ankle injury heading into the competition, took first place on vault and parallel bars, second on balance beam and third on floor exercise to win the state senior level 9 title. The state meet was held at Sandia Prep School in Albuquerque.Vosburgh finished with an overall score of 35.55 to win.With the win, Vosburgh also qualified for the regional championships, which will be held April 19-20 in Wichita, Kan. Top competitors from seven states, including New Mexico, are expected to compete in the event. Winners in that competition will advance to the Western Nationals.
