In First Judicial District Court, a Grand Jury has issued criminal indictments for two Los Alamos residents, a local resident currently residing in Santa Fe and a San Juan Pueblo woman.
Los Alamos Police Capt. Randy Foster explained the indictment process during an interview Wednesday.
“Now that these individuals have been indicted, the next step is that they will either be re-arrested if the district attorney’s office has requested it, or they will receive a summons telling them when to appear in court,” Foster said.
The Grand Jury indicted the following residents:
• April M. Rivera, 22, 331 Joya Loop, is charged with two counts. The Grand Jury charges her with burglary and states that on or about Feb. 14, and without authorization, she entered Sonic Drive-in Restaurant with intent to commit a felony or theft therein. The Grand Jury also charges Rivera with larceny of an amount more than $500, stating that on or about Feb. 14, she stole more than $500 cash from Sonic.
• Justin Eastwood, 21, 802 9th Street, is charged with three counts including breaking and entering Community Bank, on or about Feb. 3; criminal damage to property; and battery of a peace officer at Community Bank during the same incident.
