Graduates mix it up for senior recital

LAHS 2010 graduates William Finn, Joey Farish and Christian Perea will give their senior recital at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fuller Lodge.

Sponsored by the Los Alamos Arts Council, the program will consist of jazz, reggae, funk and other styles of music.

The jazz band will feature William Finn on saxophone, Joey Farish on guitar and Christian Perea on drums, accompanied by Daniel Reasse on piano, Cody Duran on bass, Trey Keepin (William’s saxophone teacher) on clarinet and Johnny Finn (William’s brother) on percussion. Musicians Cody Duran and Daniel Worley, on guitar, will accompany them.

Finn will be featured in a saxophone quartet with Doug Jones, Nate Hall and Adam Sayre. Perea will perform an improvised drum solo and Farish will perform an original composition. Finn is the son of John and Agnes Finn. Farish is the son of Tom and Mamie Farish. Perea is the son of Lorrie White and Tim Perea. This fall the LAHS 2010 graduates will begin music studies with Finn at Loyola University, New Orleans;  Farish at Northern New Mexico College, Española; and Perea  at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.  Refreshments will be served immediately following the performance. The public invited.
