The New Mexico Federation of Republican Women (NMFRW) annually awards educational scholarships to women planning to study government, political science, international relations or history.
The organization provides $1,000 to the first place winner and $500 to the second place winner. To qualify, a woman must be a resident of New Mexico, be registered as a Republican or the daughter of a registered Republican if younger than 18. She must also be a member of the graduating class and be accepted for enrollment in an institution of higher learning in New Mexico in the year in which she applies or be enrolled as a full time student at a college, university or vocational school in New Mexico. Additionally, applicants should have a 3.0 or better scholastic average based on a 4.0 system. Home schoolers are eligible to apply for a scholarship. In order to be considered, applications must be returned no later than March 15.
