Alicia Gonzales picked up a second straight local free throw shooting title last weekend at the Knights of Columbus competition.
The local chapter of the Knights of Columbus held its annual event Saturday at Griffith Gymnasium. In all, 17 boys and girls competed in the local championship.
The winners of each age division advance to the district championship next month. Winners there will advance to the state championship in March.
Gonzales, who won the state championship as a 10-year-old in 2012, picked up the win in the local girls 11-year-old competition. Gonzales sank 13 of 15 tries from the foul line to win her division.

Girls 12: Jennifer Martinez
Boys 12: Lawrence Armenta Jr.
Boys 13: Seth Hailey
Girls 14: Tiffany Martinez
