Bruce Norman’s team was just edged out by Bruce Norman’s team in the 2-person best ball competition via a scorecard playoff.
Norman, playing with son Curtis, finished with an overall score of 67 in the Father-Son-Daughter Best Ball competition held Sunday at Los Alamos Golf Course. Bruce also coupled with his son Jason Norman to equal that same mark of 67.
The two Norman teams held off the team of Brad King/Skip King, which shot a 74, ending up in third place in gross score at the event.
Sunday’s competition included, along with best ball play, scramble contests of teams between two and five players.
Lance Lackas/Jakob Lackas and Pat Majerus/John Majerus both finished with a net score of 66 in the 2-player scramble contest, while two other teams — Burt Banks/Chuck Banks/Kelly Parker and Larry Rich/Eric Rich/Greg Rich — finished tied for first in the 3-player scramble.
