If an animal gets sick, there is no need for its owner to work to bring it to the veterinary office: a vet will come to the animal.Dr. Trina Hadden, owner of Oh So Mobile veterinary clinic, has been traveling throughout Jamez, Espaola Valley, Pojoaque and Los Alamos, treating large and small animals for about two years. Her services include wellness exams and vaccines for large and small animals and some diagnostics. She can also provide surgeries to large animals and ultrasounds.Hadden said she decided to offer a mobile vet service because “it was just a service that wasn’t available.”The only other local veterinarian who makes “house calls” is strictly equine.Plus, she said she offers availability.“(Going) to their home, can decrease stress on their pets and sometimes the owner,” she said.Hadden said she enjoys “working with the animals and being out of an office.”Before starting her own business, Hadden worked as a technician in a veterinary office for 20 years before she got her vet degree. Her hours are by appointment, but she is also available for emergencies. She added she has relationships with other local veterinarians whom she can refer to if an animal requires a service she can’t provide. For more information, call 695-0052 or e-mail at lamobilevet.yahoo.com.
