The time has come to secure bids for the big spring break build at the United Church. On Sunday, volunteers will ready the bid sheets and haul in the auction items for the annual Mexico Mission building project.
The big ticket items for 2011 include; a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, a pop up camper, a piano, original oil paintings from Betty Nance Smith, furniture, jewelry, televisions, toys, games and more.
Gift certificates are available for a variety of services including haircuts, yard work services, restaurant and other food items, to private tours and in home musical concerts.
The items are split between two separate auctions. The first, a silent auction with a live auction preview begins at 2 p.m., in Graves Hall of the United Church. Hundreds of items will be available for small donations all done on bid sheets throughout the great room.
Once the silent auction closes, the live auction kicks off under the gavel of Michael Lippiatt. The live auction continues until the last item is sold and the most exciting items are spread out through the event.
