The financial crisis on Wall St. affecting the economies of the U.S. and the world, consideration of a $700 billion dollar bailout ee with the general election just a few weeks away, voters have a narrow opportunity to register and vote for the candidates you consider will be the most capable of governing this country to satisfy recovery.

DO YOU KNOW? On average less than half of the voting age population actually turns out at the polls to vote on Election Day.
The right to vote is a duty and a privilege we are granted by the Constitution. Participating in the electoral process is the only way to ensure that elected officials are fully representative of the population.
Absentee Voting began on Tuesday. Vote Monday- Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in the office of the County Clerk at 2451 Central Ave., Suite D, Los Alamos.
New Mexico is one of 13 key swing states in the presidential election that could decide the election. New Mexico has five Electoral College votes or one EC vote for every 394,000 in the state.
Swing states are states that do not vote consistently for Democrats or Republicans. It is in swing states that the next President may be selected. This is your opportunity to take part in the political process.
