Glenn Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 8 at the age of 91.
He was born in Canon City, Colo. on Oct. 28, 1920. After working for Los Alamos National Laboratory for 32 years, he retired to Bernalillo with his wife Georgann. He was group leader for CMB-1 and received numerous citations for his work. He was a World War II veteran who served as an officer in the Pacific Theatre. However, he felt his most important contributions were to his wife of 59 years and his children. He taught self-reliance, honesty and a strong work ethic to his children as well as to the many people he came in contact with throughout the years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially camping, hiking and bicycling.
He is survived by he wife Georgann; sons Ray (Linda); and John (Sue); daughter Susan; grandchildren Daniel (Courtney) and Jason (Valerie); and two great-grandchildren Jacob and Emma.
Cremation has already taken place so a celebration of his life will at 11 a.m. May 5 at The Bernalillo United Methodist located at 136 Calle don Andres in Bernalillo. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in his name to his church or a charity of your choice.
