Girls basketball: LA falls at Española by 31

The Los Alamos Hilltopper girls basketball team struggled in the second half of Wednesday night’s game in the valley, falling big to its arch-rival.

Española Valley’s Sundevils held Los Alamos to just three second half field goals as they went on to a big 64-33 victory Wednesday in Española.

The win puts the Sundevils at 3-0 in the District 2AAAA race and sole possession of first place. The Hilltoppers slipped to second in the district chase.
