Dear friends of the Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series,
The Series is coming to a close and hopefully we’ll be back next May. There are only two shows left, Friday and Sept. 5.
We’ve had to change our artist for the Friday concert.
Rosie Ledet is ill and can’t make either of her New Mexico concerts that she had planned for this weekend.
Thankfully, my dear friends, the Nomads will replace Rosie. The Nomads play ‘50s and ‘60s rock ‘n roll.
Great stuff like the music of Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Elvis, The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors, Bill Haley, The Beach Boys, Johnny Burnette, The Big Bopper, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and many others that are either in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or should be. Almost everyone will know and like and/or love almost every song.
I’m gonna request that they play “Do you Wanna Dance” by Bobby Freeman and maybe “At The Hop,” a great song by Danny and the Juniors. This is The Nomads and they’re a whole lotta fun. Matter of fact, there will be a “whole lotta shakin’ going on.”
Come and sing along but not on the stage, The Nomads got that covered. The show will be at our sponsor’s, Del Norte Credit Union.
