Have questions answered about Non-Hodgkins Lymphona at the next seminar being presented by the Los Alamos Council on Cancer from 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, at the First Baptist Church, 2200 Diamond Drive in Los Alamos.
Two physicians will be presenting. One speaker, Thomas P. Miller, M.D., is a professor of medicine, and chief of section of Hematology/Oncology at University of Arizona, and a research scientist at the Arizona Cancer Center.
The other speaker is Jan Merin, M.D., MPH, is a medical oncologist-hematologist at Northern New Mexico Cancer Care, Los Alamos.
After the presentations, there will be a question and answer period with the speakers.
This program is offered free to the public and all health care providers and includes a light supper at 5:30 p.m. Continuing Education Credits are offered for nurses. The seminar itself will start at 6 p.m.
The Los Alamos Council on Cancer, founded in 1956, is organized for the purpose of furthering education, prevention, and treatment of cancer in northern New Mexico.
It is a group of physicians, nurses, medical professionals, survivors and other interested people. Council members do not receive compensation and all give freely of their time and energy.
The Council strives to increase public awareness of cancer and promotes early diagnosis and treatment.
