All of the 2012 operas will be new productions by the SFO. Solomon will explain the history of other productions of “Tosca” by Puccini, which will be performed along with “The Pearl Fishers” by Bizet; “Maometto II” by Rossini; “King Roger” by Szymanowski and “Arabella” by Richard Strauss. There is no fee for this presentation but donations are welcome.
During the months of June and July, the Los Alamos Opera Guild will also have a display at the Los Alamos Historical Museum.  The Santa Fe Opera has loaned a series of large photographs about the opera’s history and the local guild will add to this to show the past and present connections of the Los Alamos community to the Santa Fe Opera.
