Gattiker makes top prediction

Katie Gattiker was the top predictor in this week’s Pace Race.
The Pace Race, a weekly event hosted by the Atomic City Roadrunners, was Tuesday evening at East Park.
Gattiker finished just seven seconds off her predicted finish time this week. She nipped Ryan Smeltzer, who was nine seconds off and Ted Romero, who was 19 seconds off.
Romero was the top finisher on the 3-mile course this week, finishing in a time of 21 minutes, 19 seconds. Paulina Burnside was the top finisher on the long course this week, coming in at 26:07.
Patricia Burnside was the fastest finisher on the 1-mile course with her time of 8:21. Jason Waterbury finished in 11:13.
The next Pace Race is scheduled for Tuesday.
Race time is 6 p.m.
This upcoming race, the Powerline Run, will be Tuesday. The race starts at N.M. 4 approximately three miles west of the intersection with Pajarito Road going toward Bandelier National Monument.
