The future in a nutshell

Dear Editor,

Last Sunday’s Monitor. It was long on relating the woes of the world. I am anxious to retell the scientists in the Lab that the most important energy work is work that will guarantee humanities survival on this planet. New ways to harvest the power of our infinite power source MUST be devised. The heat of the summer sun must be stored to light the night and to keep humanity warm in winter. The lab’s hell-bent mission to make more and better things for killing must be abandoned. Again, the new mission should be to guarantee a future for humanity.

There are no greenhouse gasses emitted from the utilization of solar energy. The world’s warming trend could be reversed IF scientists worked promptly to find a solution to the long term solar energy storage problem and gave that work the highest priority. There are voices in the lab and outside of it calling for better ways to store solar energy.
