REEVES – Frank William Reeves, son of Frank Ira Reeves and Louise (Zach) Reeves was born July 4, 1926, in Madison, Neb., and passed away July 3, 2008, in Mt. Vernon Veterans Home, Mt. Vernon, Mo., at age 81, three hours short of his 82 birthday. Frank had been a resident of Ava since 1981.
On Jan. 13, 1947, Frank and Adeline Walters were united in marriage in Manhattan, Kan., and to this union eight children were born. Frank was a veteran and served during WWII in the Pacific theater aboard an LST. He served as an electronics technician and cryptographic equipment instructor with the U.S. Navy for 22 years, retiring in 1965. Upon retiring from the Navy, Frank moved his family to Los Alamos, where he went to work for Los Alamos National Laboratory as a computer maintenance manager in E division. He retired from LANL in 1981.
