This is the first year I actually enjoyed the Kiwanis Fourth of July celebration up close and I have to admit that I’ve been missing a lot over the past five years. But this year, I was like a little kid. Not only did I get to play with the Hillstompers and entertain the crowd, but we got to ride in the fire truck. I got to enjoy some fun time with my community. Everyone at the event was so friendly and open and all out to have fun. I want to express my gratitude and amazement to the Kiwanis Club and everyone involved in making this event happen. Unless I’m out of town, I will be attending every year instead of just watching the fireworks from my front lawn – even though it’s a great vantage point.
