Former Los Alamos Police Department commander Randy Foster’s legal team sent a statement out Thursday evening, shortly after the Los Alamos Monitor broke the story about the allegations against Foster. They hinted that Foster and possibly other officers involved in the situation will be filing a counter lawsuit soon.
“Mr. Foster and other officers will be filing a lawsuit related to your stories of yesterday on the filing of Brian Schamber’s counterclaims against the county, Randy Foster and others within the next 30 days or so,” the statement said. Suffice it to say that the Court pleadings in the county’s Federal case, and now, Mr. Schamber’s counterclaim against the county and others tell the story from Mr. Schamber’s and the county’s points of view.”
Foster’s legal team, Linda Hemphill and George Geran, also said in the statement that they have evidence that will prove the county wrong.
“We believe Mr. Foster’s termination was wrongful and retaliatory, and the complaint we file will present a very different story from those of Mr. Schamber and the county. Only evidence, and not pleadings, will finally establish the truth here,” they said in the statement.
“Mr. Foster and his attorneys have no other comment at this time.”
